Assessments
Hearing Kids offers a customized blend of behavioral and objective measures to assess auditory processing. Our objective measures only require a student to sit quietly while the equipment does all the work, making this an ideal method for assessing students with limited cognitive or physical function. Our responses to behavioral assessments are adjusted based on the patient’s ability. Students will no longer have to go through evaluation after evaluation.
Our assessments are personalized to fit each student’s specific needs.

AUDITORY ACUITY ASSESSMENT
Auditory Acuity Assessment tests the ear and peripheral nervous system to ensure that sound is reaching the brain for processing.

AUDITORY
PROCESSING
Our Auditory Processing Assessment includes the Auditory Acuity examination along with an examination of how well the brain processes sounds.

NEURODEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENT
Our Neurodevelopment Assessment tests auditory processes and screens vestibular (balance) and visual function, as well as infantile reflex integration.

ACADEMIC
EXCELLENCE
Our Academic Excellence Assessment includes all of the above assessments, plus an examination of learning styles, and isolated academic skills, such as reading.

MISOPHONIA
Our Misophonia assessment is a separate stand alone assessment.
Our unique assessment protocol explores auditory physiological function, nutritional contributors, and anxiety disorders as contributors to debilitating sound sensitivity.
Note: The severity of each developmental issue will contribute to the length of treatment required. Brain plasticity can influence the duration of treatment. Younger children typically see faster results than adults due to better plasticity.
